Belt Type Filter Press for Sludge Dewatering
Belt filter press, this is the latest advanced sludge dewatering technology. It is characterized by a small footprint and a wide range of applications. It can be used in various processes such as petrochemical processing, light industry, electroplating, printing and dyeing, food and beverage, chemical fiber, paper, protein, animal husbandry, pharmaceutical and leather industries.
The belt filter press is a kind of biological solid / sludge dewatering equipment, which applies mechanical pressure to the mechanically processed slurry by passing the mechanically processed slurry through a zigzag wave with a decreasing diameter. The material is sandwiched between two tension bands. The machine can actually be divided into three areas.
– Gravity zone, free drainage is discharged through the porous belt by gravity
– wedge zone, solid ready for pressure application
– a pressure zone where moderate pressure is applied and then high pressure is applied to the adjusted solid
Typically, the belt filter press receives a slurry having a feed solids content of 1-4% and a final product having a filter cake solids content of from 12% to 35%. The performance depends on the nature of the solid being processed.
