Drum wood chipper has a chipping drum (roller) with knives fixed on the surface of the it. Behind the knives there is a chip room. When the blade rotating, chips fall into the chip room and then will be discharged by conveyor.

How the Drum Wood Chipper Works
Working principle: materials go through the feeding port, when they touch the knife blade, they are cut into small pieces by the rotating knives. The chips will be sent out by the conveyor under the machine.

Main structure
The drum chipper consists of the body, the knife blade, the upper and bottom feeding rollers, the feeding device, and the hydraulic system.
-The frame is welded of high-strength steel which supports the entire drum chipper.
-Two sets of flying knives are mounted on the tool roll and are fixed to the knives by special pressure bolts through the pressure block.
-Depengs on the thickness of the raw materials, the upper feeding rollers can be floated up and down within a certain range with the help of hydraulic system.
-There is a screen fixed at the botom of machine, which let qualified pieces out and remain large chips in the machine.
